ENCAP FLATROCK MIDSTREAM
In 2008, Flatrock Energy Advisors, LLC and EnCap Investments,L.P. joined together in a long-term partnership to create a series of private equity funds to invest in the midstream sector of the North American energy infrastructure space. The EnCap Energy Infrastructure Fund (EEIF) has institutional investor commitments totaling $791.6 million and is jointly managed by the combined EnCap Flatrock team. The combination offers a unique set of skills to meet the capital requirements of the midstream sector: deep industry expertise, significant operating experience, outstanding technical skills, industry recognition and contacts along with financial sophistication and a demonstrated track record of successful private equity investing.
EEIF primarily focuses on providing growth capital to proven midstream management teams in North America. Our targeted equity commitments typically range from $25 million to $75 million per management team, but EEIF also pursues investment opportunities requiring larger equity commitments in conjunction with our investment partners. EEIF pursues attractive investment opportunities in:
- natural gas gathering, treating, compression, processing and storage operations
- oil gathering and transportation
- natural gas liquid fractionation, storage and transportation
- produced water handling and disposal
- CO2 gathering, transportation and sequestration
The EnCap Flatrock Midstream (EF Midstream) team is led by Dennis Jaggi, Billy Lemmons and Bill Waldrip, who have worked together for virtually all of the past 30 years in the midstream sector of the oil and gas industry. With over 93 years of midstream experience and 125 prior advisory clients in the sector, they have been directly involved in a total of approximately $4.1 billion in midstream transactions and investments. Two of the EF Midstream Principals were Chief Operating Officers and division heads of large midstream companies with full operations, profit and loss and capital investment responsibilities, and one of the EF Midstream Principals has significant experience originating, structuring, negotiating and overseeing energy investments.
